WARSAW – Together with our distributor Ma-J-er, we installed 22 BRAIN QUICK Video EEG systems with Ambulatory and Sleep options in Poland and trained the local users on the systems. This great innovation for Polish hospitals could be realized thanks to the generosity of the national charity organization “WOŚP”.
Charity for the best possible medical care for people in Poland.
Founded in 1993, the “WOŚP” charity organization (Wielka Orkiestra Swiątecznej Pomocy – The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity) has the aim to support Polish public healthcare institutions. Therefore, every year they organize multiple fundraisers and donate to different healthcare-related projects . Every January, a GRAND FINALE takes place, with focus on a specific theme. With the outcoming money WOŚP purchase state-of-the-art equipment for Polish hospitals and clinics. The whole work is focused on supporting children’s medicine and enhancing the level of care offered to senior patients in geriatric and long-term care units.
High level technology for 18 Polish hospitals
In 2020, the “WOŚP” charity launched a major tender. We are very proud that, thanks to the excellent cooperation with our local distributor, we were able to win the main part of the tender, related to LTM and Ambulatory devices. A total of 22 BRAIN QUICK Video EEG Systems, with the option of Ambulatory EEG recording and Sleep Analysis, were purchased from Micromed Group and our local partner Ma-J-er. The systems were equipped with various accessories, such as full HD video cameras and the NEUROWERK F40 photic stimulator.
The contract between WOŚP and the distibutor (Ma-J-er) has been signed in June 2021 (after some delays related to COVID). During the summer all the systems were installed and all the end users were trained in 18 different hospitals across the entire country.
Micromed Group is proud to have been part of such a large donation and to have been chosen to provide their cutting-edge technology to bring EEG diagnostics to a new level with the BRAIN QUICK systems across Poland.
