Micromed Secures Third Strategic Acquisition: OSG BVBA

In a move to strengthen its position as a leader in the field of neurophysiology, European based medical device manufacturer, Micromed, has recently acquired Belgium based software company OSG BVBA (OSG).

OSG is strongly positioned in sleep medicine and clinical neurophysiology with advanced capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) as it relates to sleep scoring and data interpretation.

The immediate benefit of the acquisition will give Micromed direct access to the Benelux market, thanks to OSG’s strong position and 50% market penetration in the Netherlands. The integration with Micromed’s global sales footprint will allow Micromed to leverage the unique product offering in 78 markets throughout the world including Germany and the United States, which are key target markets for Micromed.

The acquisition also reinforces Micromed’s development resources by adding expertise in software development and Artificial Intelligence. The synergy of both companies’ product development and R&D teams will enable Micromed to increase its time to market in developing an integrated product range and to respond quickly to the changing needs of the market.
