Micromed hosts its first virtual Sales Meeting in 18 years!
Every year, Micromed hosts a sales meeting for over 70 Distributor partners and direct sales teams. The meeting usually takes place at our Venice, Italy headquarters, however this year the meeting went virtual amid travel restrictions.
The meeting was held over three days the week of February 22nd, with a morning and afternoon session on each day. Each session was the same so attendees could select the session that best suited their time zone. The sessions were a good mix of existing product overviews and the introduction of some new and exciting products to come.
Flexibility is the Key
The Micromed team found a way to effectively present, train and demo products while interacting with attendees using the Zoom® platform. This was quite a change from having everyone in the same room!
Attendance from Across the Globe
Each day, over 100 attendees signed in to take part in the meeting. The geographic representation of the meeting was astounding. Attendees hailed from regions across the globe including Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, Latin America and the United States. Several Distributors, whose schedule or budget may not allow them to join the meeting normally, were able to join remotely. The Micromed team is considering ways to incorporate both an in-person and remote meeting in the future as a result.
Social from a Distance
Instead of the busy social agenda that is usually part of this meeting, attendees were invited to a virtual happy hour and engaged in live polls with fun questions. While everyone seemed to enjoy the alternate social agenda, the Micromed team looks forward to seeing our valuable sales teams and Distributors in person in 2022!
